pORTRait sessions
I offer a few different ways of working together — from relaxed family sessions to therapeutic photography via fine-art Identity Portraits. No matter the approach, every session holds space for presence, connection, and the truth of whatever season you’re in. I’ll meet you where you are and help create images that feel honest, artful, and most importantly, like you.
Working with me isn’t therapy but many people experience it as deeply meaningful. Self-care takes many forms, and photography can be a powerful way to pause, reflect, and invest in yourself.
I believe deeply in the importance of representation behind the lens. I’ve rarely seen women of color in this role let alone an Indian woman creating this kind of work. This perspective naturally shapes how I see, create, and show up for the people I photograph.
For those who care about supporting small businesses and women of color in the arts, I’m grateful to be making this work together and am really looking forward to meeting you!
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:
“Andrea is creative, artistic, has a great eye for details, and will capture your family's personality perfectly.” - Karuna Lewis
This process was vulnerable for me and so worth it. Andrea is the kind of person that makes you feel like you’re talking to a best friend. The whole process felt safe, supportive, creative and fun. As I look back on my Identity Portraits each photo tells a hundred stories that only I know - each detail reminding me of the steps and people that helped shape the person I’m becoming. It’s one of the best gifts I’ve ever given myself.” - Hannah Burton
”My favorite part of the experience was…all of it. Andrea helped us feel at ease and look natural. It shows in the photos and we couldn't be happier.” - Dave Abbott
“I’ve never experienced photography like this. Andrea’s vision for adoptees allowed me to show up fully and to finally see myself reflected with honesty and power. Words aren’t enough to express my gratitude for this experience.” - Ellen Ae Ra
Andrea’s portraits of me changed the way I see myself.” — EJ
